Olympic skater and television star Johnny Weir is flinging open his closet door again – but not at all where we expected: in Horsham. The over-the-top athlete has hired Linda’s Stuff, a consignment company in the Philadelphia suburbs specializing in high-end designer fashions, to auction off hand-selected items from his personal collection for charity, including The Trevor Project. Weir has long been a supporter of Trevor’s mission to end bullying and teen suicide among LGBT youth.
While the lucky seven-day auction officially opens for bids online starting Monday, January 7, rumor has it a few of Weir’s most outlandish, custom-made getups from “Skating With the Stars” and the Olympic Games will be up for grabs, along with some truly outrageous accessories and skates.
Want to know about about this ice man? Weir’s memoir Welcome to My World is also now available as an ebook.
