Time is of essence, right? Especially when it comes to LGBT equality. That’s why Philly’s Cadence Watch Company has introduced a little something called the EQL Watch. With a blue or black face and leather strap (hello, Bike Stop), the prototype is a fairly simple, yet classic timepiece that features double dashes (=) for numbers representing the equal sign – similar to the famous Human Rights Campaign signature logo.
An interesting fact: Now a universally used symbol of mathematics, the equal sign was actually first used by Welsh mathematician Robert Recorde in 1557. It’s since been adopted by many LGBT rights organizations around the world.
The EQL Watches are now available online for $125. You can also enter to win one by clicking here. All entrees include a promotional code that will get you the watch for a cool 53 percent off.
