You can enjoy another side of Dan Stevens, the actor who plays Matthew Crawley on the BBC series, in The Line of Beauty. The 2006 miniseries tells the story of Nick Guest, an openly gay man, who becomes entwined with an upscale London family (and their foibles, to say the least) during the heady Thatcher years. Not only does it offer a glimpse into 80s culture – big hair, Walkmans and all – but it also paints the picture of the early years of the AIDS crisis across the pond.
