Philadelphia’s QFest is currently looking for a few great submissions for the annual LGBT film festival (July 11 – 22). If you’re a filmmaker, here’s what you need to know to get your project screened:

-Films will only be considered that have been produced in 2012 or 2013

-You need to submit at least one review copy on DVD with your application

-All genres are being accepted, including features, shorts, animation, experimental and documentaries in film or digital format

You have until April 1 to send the form and review copies to QFest, which will be awarding grants for best feature film, documentary, first-time director and short this year.

As a bonus, QFest has also partnered with Philly Pride to present the first-ever WinterPride (Feb. 22) from 6 – 8 p.m. on Penn’s Landing’s Blue Cross RiverRink. The party includes two hours of skating with special guest Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir – as well as shuttles to and from the Gayborhood where after parties are planned at our favorite bars and clubs.
